Private Villas

Residential Demolition & Construction of New Villas

The year 1989 was the beginning of Xavier David's involvement with this site. It was then that he conceived of a master plan to layout the hill-side villas to create an almost village-like atmosphere and began with the construction of a villa on the lower half of the present day property.
Village-like Atmosphere
By 2010 working with a new property owner who had also acquired the neighboring upper lot, the Xavier David team completed a large, two-phase construction project that consisted of demolishing the original existing villas and rebuilding with new construction in a contemporary style while maintaining the spirit of the original master plan.
The result is an ensemble of villas containing 6 bedrooms and 2 swimming pool terraces, all perched near a hilltop with stunning views towards neighboring islands. Imported materials were coordinated from Brazil (sucupira hardwood) and Portugal (limestone) to complement the black-gray hyaloclastite stone excavated on-site.

Moreover, this project was prominently featured on the cover of the August 2011 Architectural Digest magazine.
