Villa Camp David

With a variety of bungalows and having evolved from multiple parcels, Villa Camp David ranks as one of the largest estates on Saint-Barth but retains it's "camp"-like charm by expanding slowly, utilizing variations on its style and by spacing out it's development across it's large, verdant landscape.  Initially begun as a hippy camp during the 1960s, Xavier David has been involved with the various renovations and expansions for the past 25 years.

At last count, the property consists of 11 guest suites and 1 staff apartment, professional grade kitchen, exterior kitchen/barbecue pavilion and 2 lava stone lined swimming pools.

As this grand property consists of two distinct zones as it transitions from the busy main thoroughfare of Saint-Jean down towards the tranquil end of the Saint-Jean beach, so too does the most recent renovation consist of two primary parts:

Firstly, a neighboring villa and swimming pool on the upper portion were totally demolished and rebuilt into the colonial villa Le Manoir featuring a super master suite and grand veranda terrace.

From there, the colonial formality melts into a casual beachside retreat.  The lower portion of the property and second half of the renovation featured minor upgrades with emphasis placed upon the landscaping between the eclectic bungalow guest suites thus encouraging a healthy dose of outdoor living.
